We arrived to the AZ Open but unfortunately it was canceled due to bad weather. I ended up staying and fishing the lake regardless. Below is a few highlights of this tournament.
Monday Feb 20th, 2023 Pre-Fishing
Jordan arrived late last night to our Air BNB. We are staying in a house in Havasu City. At the house we have Several Anglers competing in the tournament. We get to hang out, share fishing stories, discuss the lake and strategies and just have a good time.
Jordan will be pre-fishing Monday and Tuesday.
In our house we have the following anglers:
Gary Volpe – “The Chef” Fishing as a Triple A. He comes to the table with more than just good cooking…he has a wealth of knowledge fishing these waters.
Danny Davis – “The Godfather” is fishing as a pro in the AZ Open. He is the ABA director for Utah and brings years of experience with him. Jordan fished his first tournament with Danny,

Event Canceled
LWe received news on Wednesday morning that the AZ Open was canceled. They are surveying the anglers to determine if they will drop the event from the list of events in the Open Series, Reschedule it in a make-up event, etc.
We are still awaiting results from the survey.
