Jordan’s coach Clif Gallagher founded “Redrock Bass” a High School Youth Bass Fishing League in Utah. Redrock anglers competed in ten tournaments throughout 2021. Fishing some of the most coveted lakes in the west. The top two anglers would go on to fish the High School Nationals in Hartwell, SC. Jordan Werner (Young Hammer) took “Angler of the Year” with a lead of 50 points over other anglers. Following close behind him was Cutler Labrum (Hot Rod Labrum). The two top anglers secured their spot in the legendary Abu Garcia Bassmaster High School Nationals.
When it came time to decide upon the jersey, their coach, and guide Clif Gallagher knew exactly what the team needed. He wanted more than a jersey with sponsor logos, he wanted to create a jersey that had meaning, something that could speak volumes about the effort put forth by these two anglers.
The concept was incredible. He would take the pattern from the contour lines of Lake Hartwell, SC. He wanted Jordan and Cutler to not only fish the lake but feel connected to it. He wanted them to feel it every time they put on the jersey. He then used inspiration from the movie “The Black Panther” to design the overall look and feel of the jersey. He wanted these two anglers to understand that dedication, hard work, and commitment coupled with honor is the reason they are at the High School National Championship.
Sponsors came next, these are companies owned by successful businessmen and women that battled their way to the top. They understood what the word “Grind” meant. Their logos mean more than just a commitment of funds to assist with the tournament, they are a reminder that when the going gets tough, the tough get going. These business owners respect the work these two anglers have invested to qualify for such a championship, and are proud to have their logos displayed as a gesture for the world to see, that they proudly support these two young men.
The jersey has an image of a claw through it, inside that claw mark is the word “Redrock” representing to the world that these young men were” Redrock Born”. When you take away the jersey, and peel away all the sparkle and shine, they are two young men investing not only time on the lake but also the time in the classroom learning the art and skill of bass fishing at America’s best youth tournament fishing school…Redrock Bass is located in St. George, Utah.
